Inflatable peanut balls are excellent, versatile tools for use during labour.

During labour, one can sit on, lean over, or bounce on a peanut ball, or position it between the legs. It assists with opening up your pelvis and optimal positioning of your baby. A peanut ball is more effective than pillows or stirrups and is especially useful when a labouring parent needs to stay on the bed, e.g. when they use medication or need to rest.

Using a peanut ball has been shown to decrease labour duration and reduce c-section rates.
